Its been an interesting year so far; we are only a month in and we’ve already gotten a shitload of work done! As most of you know, our 2012 kick off show at the Bowery Ballroom was a smashing success; and we’re currently in the process of booking our spring/summer tour dates. All i can say is- DAMN! Its good to be us! On the subject of our new record: its half way done, its sounding ridiculous, and the band sounds primed and ready to go out and kick some ass with these tunes! And yes, we are still on track for you to have a ton of sweet cyanide to listen to this year.

Oh, and why a good year for the roses? I have this belief that people, places, things; all have an expiration date, even music (anyone remember Backstreet boys, limp biscuit, and anyone else from that horrible time called the 2000′s?) This bands goal this year is to make music that will be considered timeless! No expiration date! Something you can listen to tomorrow or 15 years from now. I say 15 cuz most of you wont survive the nuclear holocaust that we’re racing towards! So a good year for the roses? Probably not (sorry Elvis) but its gonna a great year for Sweet Cyanide!
