Welcome to 2012!
We’re making some changes this year starting with a new site. Yes, the Original SC.com was a fan favorite so we decided to move it over to SweetCyanideWorld.com. The idea is to put more exclusive content up for the Original Sinners; Live Tracks, Studio Outtakes, Crazy Ideas, whatever the fuck we want. You understand? All free of course. But, don’t get it twisted. The New & Improved SweetCyanide.com is what we needed to liven things up in 2012. Not many artists give you two kick-ass sites. Who’s better than us? It’s just the beginning of messin’ with ur heads.
We are definitely NOT creatures of habit. Which brings us to the third chapter in this twisted story. The second we get restless we shave our heads or add another member. Which brings us here. Most of you know we added the talents of Tommy Sica as the official 5th member; giving us more depth at guitars, synths and drink-making. At the same time we’ve been working on Sweet Cyanide III between the whirlwind of touring and appearances. No complaints here but it’s become evident within all of us that it’s time to make III the priority.
This business is funny. The more people we meet the more opinions reign on our world. Being open-minded to a fault sometimes slows the train down. There were a few dark months where our heads were somewhere else in time. Then it happened. We decided it’s all or nothing. The advice to not release anymore material so soon has been put in the “go fuck ur mother” chapter. Sorry for the language but we here at the SC Bronx Chapter keep it real. It’s all fuel for us. You want another Bad Jesus, “Go fuck ur mother!” You want more radio singles, “Go fuck ur mother!” You want the expected follow-up to SCII, well… you know what comes outta our mouths next… “Let’s make a Double Album!” We are making a conscious effort to distance ourselves from the easily distracted and get back to a place where music is about getting absorbed into a feeling or vibe. No, we’re not re-inventing the wheel. We’re just slapping a big SC sticker right in the middle of it!
Things are not always what they seem. Stay tuned.
